Playground
A downloadable game
[NB: This game was developed before the Autistica Play Jam (as part of a university project), but draws heavily from autistic experience of socialization and communication. I hope there's something here for people both within and outside of the spectrum]
A minimalist social simulator.
'Playground' is a game about social systems; of unclear rules, impenetrable and obscure codes of conduct, of hostile social environments, the difficulties of finding and making friends, and loneliness.
This has been an intensely personal project to work on. That being said, I hope it says something for you personally.

While this game doesn't really use fun as a desired aesthetic/play experience, I hope you enjoy it.

A profoundly harrowing experience. Delightful in its minimalism, and in its conclusion. Only thing that caught me off-guard was the reliance on keyboard-mashing during the hopscotch segment. I understand the intent, was just a little underwhelmed by the execution. Other than that, this was a great little game.
